Eurocamp Taking Camping To A New Experience

Eurocamp For Tent Camping Grounds In Europe

The Eurocamp camping parks are luxurious with their large stylish safari tents which measure a minimum of 27′x 16.5′. They have 2 bedrooms that sleep 6. The safari tents have a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living area, all sited on wooden decking.

A 7 night holiday for a family of 4 is very cost effective. The facilities vary between sites but as a minimum most have a swimming pool. Most also have a shop, hot showers and children’s playgrounds. If you decide to go out of the main holiday months of July and August, significent savings can be made.

Eurocamp is the company to try for those people who have been considering trying out camping. Eurocamp offers a great opportunity to try the experience before committing to buying all the necessary equipment.  There is no better option than booking a holiday at one of Eurocamp’s camping grounds.

Tell us about Eurocamp in the comments below.

Eurocamp was originally established in 1973 as Eurocamp Travel Limited. A family run business offering camping holidays in Brittany, France.

After a number of take overs and acquisitions within the holiday sector the company’s name changed to Holidaybreak in 1998.

There are a number of different trading companies owned by Holidaybreak but the original company still trades as Eurocamp.

After expanding outside of France in the 1980′s, it now has a range of over 150 camping parks in Europe. These span accross France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Germany and Luxembourg.

My Eurocamp Experience

Eurocamp WebsiteAlthough not new to tent camping, I tried the camping ground of Pointe St. Gilles, Bénodet in the Brittany area in the North West of France during the summer of 1990. I would recommend this as a way of testing whether or not you are suited to camping.

Along with my family I spent one week at the Pointe St. Gilles camping ground. I also spent  a week at the Les Sables-d’Olonne camping ground in the Vendée area of Western France. Overall I found it a great experience and after the vagaries of the UK climate the warm sunny weather was an added bonus.
